Department of Government Efficiency, also known as (DOGE) officially known as the United States Doge Service Temporary Organization, is an organization which is formed on a temporary basis in the past and was known as the United States Digital Service.
This department was formed to focus on medicare and become the center of medicare services.
A rally was started against the tech billionaire Elon Musk by the democrats, who is also the head of the Department of Government Services (DOGE). The rally was carried outside the Social Security Administration’s headquarters in Baltimore.
Democrats’ belongings to both chambers gathered to raise concern after a judge temporarily barred Musk and the doge personnel from gaining access to the treasury department’s sensitive payment system.
We have one short and simple message: Elon Musk, ‘keep your hands off our social security,’ stated Sen. Chris van Hollen (D-Md.) at the start of the press conference held on Monday. They have gained access to highly sensitive information of Americans at the Department of Treasury, including Social Security number, bank accounts, and other very sensitive information,” he added, accusing Musk of “carrying out illegal raids on federal agencies with his DOGE organization.”
Among those present at the demonstration were Sen. Angela Alsobrooks (D-Md.) and Democratic Maryland Representatives Kweisi Mfume (D), Johnny Olszewski, and Sarah Elfreth. Martin O’Malley, the former mayor of Baltimore, Maryland governor, and Social Security commissioner, also addressed the crowd at the event.
While Trump has aspiring and committed plans to make a deduction in the size of government, he has also promised to ensure the safety of Social Security, which represents a major portion of annual federal spending.
However, reports indicating that DOGE has achieved success in gaining access to the Treasury payment system, which is used for the allocation of funds—including Social Security benefits, tax returns, and payment for federal employees—have inflamed the controversy in Washington, especially as Democrats blame Republicans of attempting to obstruct the Social Security.
The Treasury responded shortly after the news broke. They also stated that the Elon Musk DOGE crew has ‘read-only’ access to all the sensitive data, and they have also been blocked from accessing the system.
All this has resulted in democrats pitching up an attack on Elon Musk as they think he is the main man behind President Trump’s cost-cutting effort.
