Kyle Richards, famously known for her role in The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, gave strength to her friend Teddi Mellencamp when she revealed she has multiple brain tumours.
Through an Instagram Post, Teddi revealed that the tumours in her brain are believed to be growing for at least 6 months. On 12th February, she had two of them removed.
On the same day, via Instagram story, we get to learn that Richards was right there with Teddi in the room awaiting her surgery. To lighten the mood, Richards jokingly inquired if she could have Mellencamp’s “old [hair] extensions.” Mellencamp smiled and replied that she already “gave those out.”
Richards has been there for Teddi even as she was navigating her separation from her estranged husband Arroyave. Teddi has been crashing with Richards in her Enico home a few times a week.
In ‘Bravo’s Hot Mic podcast in February 2025, Richards explained that Mellencamp was looking for places while Arroyave and she tried to co-parent in their shared space. Richards offered her place up, so Mellencamp didn’t have to spend money to get a room.
“She lives with me Tuesdays and Wednesdays,” said Richards during the interview.
Even while they were working together all the way back in 2022, Richards urged
Mellencamp to get her spots on her back checked out by a doctor. This was some great thinking by Richards, as after that, Mellencamp was diagnosed with stage 2 Melanoma. Which was revealed in an Interview with “Tamron Hall Show’ in November 2022.
Richards has been such a support system for Mellencamp. She has helped through her Melanoma, her separation from Arroyave and even right now with her brain surgery. We all need someone who is always there for us. A Kyle to our Teddi.
