NHPC declared its numbers for the third quarter of the financial year 2024-25 on February 7 in the fiscal year 2025, showing that net profit had plunged to ₹231 crore, which is 52.5 percent down from ₹486.7 crore over the same period of the previous year because of an increase in the overall expenditure.
The revenue of the state-owned hydropower giant from operation was ₹2,286.8 crore in the third quarter of the current fiscal as against ₹2,055.5 crore in the same period of the previous fiscal showing an increase of 11.3 percent. The PSU’s total expenses rose to ₹2,217.51 crore during the quarter from ₹1,733.01 crore a year ago.
The software and services major’s total income has risen slightly to ₹2,616.89 crore in the quarter from ₹2,549.69 crore in the corresponding period of the previous year. The board also recommended an interim dividend at the rate of 14 percent of paid-up capital, which is ₹1.40 per equity share.
NHPC’s board of directors has activated Thursday, February 13, 2025, as the date for determining the shareholders entitled to the payment of the said Interim Dividend. Before the announcement of Q3FY25 numbers, the script finished slightly down 0.28 percent at ₹7.43 level on BSE.
Final Dividend at 14% on paid up paid up equity share of ₹ 10/- each for the financial year 2024-25 as well Payment of interim dividend of ₹ 1.40 per equity share by the Company for the financial year 2024-25.
As per Regulation 42 of SEBI LODR, the Company has 13th February 2025 as the record date to determine the eligibility of payment of the interim dividends. ,” NHPC said in the filing to the stock exchanges today,” The dividend shall be paid/ dispatched within the period stipulated in the Companies Act, 2013.
