Premier Energies Shares Surge 10% After Q3 PAT Soars 491% Year-On-Year

On February 4, 2020, at the BSE, the stock of Premier Energies rose by 10.30 percent to Rs 1,177.60 in the early trade after the company informed that it had posted a YoY PAT of 490.58% to reach Rs 255.22 crore for the Q3 of FY 2020-21.

The same has gone up to Rs 43.21 crore for the same period of the last year. Even on a QoQ basis, PAT was higher by 23.93% from Rs 205.94 crore of Q2 FY25.

Total operating revenue increased at a superior YoY growth of 140.47% with Rs. 1,713.32 crore to Rs. 712.48 crore in the corresponding period last year.

Getting down to the PAT margin, there has been a significant increase in the PAT margin, which stood at 6.05% in the third quarter of the financial year FY24 which has grown highly to 14.59 % for the current quarter and QoQ It is up significantly for 13.26%. On the operational front also there has been a steep rise where the EBITDA margins reached up to Rs 549.57 crore from Rs 125.54 crore YoY growth of 337.76%. On a quarterly basis, the latest announced EBITDA was 35.06% higher to Rs 406.90 crore.

The EBITDA margin also augmented to 17.56% in Q3 FY24 and in the current quarter, which has improved by 31.42% from the last quarter of FY23, while QoQ was 26.19%.

Moreover, the company has also declared an interim dividend of fifty paise per share with a record date of fourteen February for determining the shareholders.

“Menukhisor informed the company about the payment of the interim dividend as the same is required to be paid within 30 days of the declaration,” he added.

The stock of Premier Energies slid 2.44 percent to end at the BSE at Rs 1,067.75 despite a bounce-back at the last trading hour.
